| "Seizer
has mastered his instrument and found his own voice and direction in the music he has
dedicated himself to: jazz. He has the insight to bring together world- class musicians that are most receptive to his musical vision." Marty Cook |

| Jason Seizer, 33 years old, based in Munich, Germany, is a tenor-saxophonist with natural
talent, good musical intuition and a warm personal sound. Hes one of the most in-
demand players in Europe. Jason seizer grew up in a family where music was an integral
part of home life. He played recorder and flute from age 4 and was a participant and
winner in various youth contests for classical musicians. He started playing saxophone at
the relatively late age of 23 after listening to John Coltranes "Ballads"
album. After having studied with mastermusician Ferdinand Povel, finishing with a Masters Degree at the "Amsterdam School of the Arts", he spent a couple of months in New York, where he had private tuition from players the caliber of Ralph Moore and Joe Lovano. In 1992 Jason was honored for "Outstanding Musicianship" at the convention of the International Association of Jazz Educators in Miami, USA, where he was invited to perform. Leading his own bands was always an inner urge and with the release of his debut album "Patience" in August 1996- accompanied by german pianist WalterLang, Belgian bassist Nicolas Thys and American drummer Rick Hollander on the label Acoustic Music Records- he got a lot of recognition for his deep and surprisingly mature playing. Jason regularly works with trombonist Johannes Herrlichs Collage, the Bobby Burgess Bigband and the Al Porcino Big Band in Nuremberg. In the last years he has been performing for radio stations all over Europe such as the BR, SDR, VPRO, VARA and Public Radio Station Miami, USA. His further credits include working together with musicians such as: Benny Bailey, Bobby Burgess, Jiggs Whigham, Dusko Goykovic, Don Menza, Marvin Stamm, the Munich Saxophone Family, Kenny Garrett, Philippe Catherine and Maria Schneider.
