Example of change of routeon account of the political situation:
The decision, whether to take the route from Khartoum through the Sudan, that is Southern Sudan, will be taken when there. The intent is to arrive in Keya, which may turn out to be dangerous because of the conflicts between the rebels and the government in Khartoum. In such a case, an alternative route through Ethiopis has been planned.

In an emergency, such alternative routes will be considered also with reference to other places.

Example of change of route on account of the weather:
The time schedule for the journey means that arrival in the equatorial belt will be in the rainy season. According to local weather conditions, minor route changes may become necessary - for example on account of not being able to traverse a certain road etc., which is also something that can only be decided once there.
