Musical concept for the Walk to the Cape of good Hope Patricia Nomakosazana Dhlamin has her own style of singing, which she brings to the most diverse musical genres. She works in Jazz as well as Pop music, including projects for Funk, Soul, Rock or even Techno music. One of her special skills is polyphonic choral voice arrangements and she conducts workshops for Zulu or Gospel choir singing. The purpose of this walk, this journey, is to collect as much musical material and to make as much musical contact as possible. Sessions and concerts with native musicians from the various countries will be recorded on a minidisc recorder and processed at the end of the journey - arranged, overdubbed, edited and mixed - to produce a series of CDs. New musical genres could come into being, such as "Arab-Acid-Jazz" or "Umbaqanga-Dance-Floor", Traditional Drum-and Vocal Jazz" or whatever the imagination desires - the sky is the limit! Nomakosazana is also planning a series of children's songs from all the countries she walks through...to complete a circle which began when she was five years old. There's so much to discover - let's go! [ Adresses ] [ Musical Career ] |
